A Peaceful Place to Say Goodbye
The Hummingbird Estate is often filled with some of life’s happiest moments—wedding days, celebrations, laughter, music, and new beginnings. But we also believe there is something incredibly meaningful about providing a beautiful, peaceful place for families to gather during life’s more difficult moments.
The Hummingbird Estate is more than a wedding venue. It is a place to gather.
Our chapel and surrounding estate are available for funeral services, memorial services, and celebrations of life, giving families a private and welcoming setting to honor someone they love.
A Peaceful Place to Say Goodbye
When a family loses someone they love, planning a service can feel overwhelming. Sometimes a traditional funeral home is exactly what a family wants. Other times, they are looking for something that feels a little different—a setting that is peaceful, beautiful, personal, and filled with warmth.
The Hummingbird Estate offers that alternative.
Our white chapel provides a timeless setting for a traditional funeral or memorial service, while the surrounding property offers the quiet beauty of the countryside. Families can personalize the space with photographs, flowers, meaningful music, keepsakes, or other special touches that tell the story of the person they are remembering.
Celebrations of Life
Not every family wants a traditional funeral service. A celebration of life can be a beautiful way to remember someone through the things they loved most.
Whether that means sharing stories over a meal, displaying favorite photographs, playing meaningful music, showing a memorial video, or simply giving friends and family a comfortable place to spend time together, our estate allows families to create a gathering that feels personal.
Our spaces can accommodate both the service itself and time afterward for family and friends to visit, share a meal, tell stories, laugh, cry, and remember.
A Space for Life's Most Meaningful Moments
We created The Hummingbird Estate to be a place where people come together.
Sometimes that means watching two people begin their lives together. Sometimes it means celebrating a birthday, shower, reunion, or special milestone. And sometimes it means gathering around a family during one of the hardest days of their lives.
There is beauty in all of those moments.
This past weekend was a special reminder of exactly why we want The Hummingbird Estate to be a place for more than weddings. We had the honor of opening our doors to celebrate the life of one of our closest friends, Tom Breeden—also lovingly known as Tom Cat and Chef Thomas.
It was a beautiful day honoring a life well lived and a man who meant so much to so many. Friends and family gathered at the Estate to share memories, spend time together, and celebrate Tom in a way that felt personal to him.
Laura Jane with Simply Fabulous transformed the Estate so beautifully in remembrance of Tom, creating thoughtful details throughout the space that made the day feel incredibly special. The Good Spread created a masterpiece of a charcuterie table, giving everyone a place to gather, eat, visit, and share stories.
Days like this remind us that a venue isn't really about the building or the beautiful surroundings. It's about the people who fill it and the memories made within it.
We were honored that The Hummingbird Estate could be that gathering place for Tom's family and friends, and we hope to offer the same sense of warmth and comfort to other families when they need it most.
If you are considering The Hummingbird Estate for a funeral, memorial service, or celebration of life, we would be honored to talk with you about the options available and help you create a gathering that feels meaningful for your family.
